PROVINCIAL NOMINEE ENTREPRENEUR VISA

Persons who immigrate to Canada under the Provincial Nominee Entrepreneur visa have the required capital, skills, education and business experience needed to make an immediate economic contribution to the province that nominates them. Under these various provincial nominee entrepreneur programs, lucrative and exciting opportunities exist for business migrants to make a personal investment to establish or purchase an eligible business in the respective province. In return they are provided with the expedited handling of their applications for permanent residence allowing them and their families to settle in a Canadian province.


PROVINCIAL NOMINEE ENTREPRENEUR VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS

The specific requirements for each provincial nominee entrepreneur program are outlined below. Generally, additional conditions also apply to each program such as the requirement to engage in exploratory trips, the submission of performance agreements, cash deposits and business plans.

Under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee - Business & Regional Skills programs, applicants must make a personal investment of at least $200,000 or $400,000 CDN to establish or to purchase and expand an eligible business in prosperous B.C, create at least 1 or 3 new jobs for locals, provide active and on-going participation management of the business, possess a personal net worth of at least $400,000 or $800,000 CDN.

Under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee - Business Applicants program, applicants must have a minimum personal net worth of $350,000 CDN, make an investment in Manitoba of at least $150,000 CDN, possess demonstrated business experience or a minimum of three years experience in a senior management role of a successful company, conduct an exploratory visit for a minimum of 7 days to majestic Manitoba to investigate business opportunities.

Under the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee - Entrepreneurs program, applicants must have an a minimum of between 3 to 5 years of business ownership experience or senior management experience and have a minimum personal net worth of $250,000 CDN. They must, make a minimum investment of at least $150,000 CDN.

Under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee - Immigrant Entrepreneur program, applicants must seek to invest in an eligible business activity that generates revenues by selling goods and or services and have a minimum of five years of senior management experience in a business similar to the one proposed. They must have a minimum net worth of $450,000 CDN and meet the $200,000 CDN investment requirement.

Under the Yukon Provincial Nominee - Business Program, applicants must show that they can make a personal investment of at least $150,000 CDN investment in a Yukon-based company in a priority identified industry such as IT, Manufacturing, Forestry, Agriculture, and Energy.
